What this is

DevFeeFinder is a research index. It reports what public agencies have published about the one-time fees charged on a new detached home, and links every amount to the document that set it.

It is not a quote, an estimate, or a statement from any agency. No city, county, district or other agency has reviewed, approved or endorsed anything here, and nothing on this site is legal, financial or professional advice.

Before you rely on a figure

Every amount here is read from an adopted schedule, ordinance or compliance report, and shows the date it was read beside a link to the document. That is the strongest claim this site makes, and it is not the same as being current or complete:

• Fees change. An agency can adopt a new schedule the day after a figure here

was read, and some adjust automatically every year.

• A figure describes one specific home on one specific lot. Yours will differ.
• Where a charge depends on something this index cannot know — which service

area, which district, which meter — the page says so instead of guessing.

• Some charges are known to exist and are held with no amount, because the

amount could not be obtained. Those are marked as gaps, not as zero.

The agency's own current schedule governs. Check it before you spend money.

No warranty

This site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and is used at your own risk. Figures are corrected as documents are re-read, and those corrections are sometimes large — which is exactly why each one carries its date and its source. What this index is good for is finding every charge that applies and the document behind each one. It is not the final word on what you will owe.

Using the figures

The amounts here are facts taken from public records, and facts belong to nobody. Take them, quote them, build on them. You do not need permission and this page is not asking you to seek any.

What took the work is the rest of it: deciding which charges belong in a total, which agency levies each one, how they group, and how one home on one lot resolves to a single number — along with every word written on this site.
