The solid waste fee will be used to fund the purchase of solid waste vehicles as identified by the City to serve new development. These items are identified in Table A-34 of Appendix A to the August 15, 2022, Nexus Study Report.”

However, residential, commercial and industrial developments may be allowed, at the discretion of the City Manager, to pay specified fees no later than the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy, or up to 12 months following the issuance of the building permit, whichever occurs first.”

“The fee categories summarized in the prior section may not be applicable to specialized development projects in the City. For example, development of a cemetery, golf course, or stadium would not fall under any of the fee categories in this study. For specialized development projects, the City will review the impacts and decide on an applicable ad hoc fee.”

“FEE CREDITS OR REIMBURSEMENTS The City may provide fee credits or possibly reimbursements to developers who dedicate land or construct facilities. Fee credits or reimbursements will be based upon estimated costs as shown in an applicable improvement plan, subject to periodic inflation adjustments, except for drainage projects which will be based on the actual cost paid by the developer.”
